Malbim: Regarding Emunah, now some deny the First cause and say that the stars and Mazalos formed [earth and what is on it]. Then, Hashem will be supreme. Now, some agree that He is the First cause, and call him the G-d of gods, but they say that he is not Nora, since He does not supervise lower beings, and does not reward or punish, so one need not fear Him. They feared the stars, for they thought that authority was given to them. Then (in the future), Hashem will be Nora.
