Malbim: This is salvation of the Nefesh. "U'Fdenu" is from Galus of the body.

Why does it say "u'Fdenu Lema'an Chasdecha"?

Rashi: We do not come to [to request redemption] based on our deeds; rather, do so due to Your Chesed.
2.
Radak: If we do not have deeds that merit redemption, do so for the sake of Your Chesed.
