What are the ramifications of the fact that the entire land came to Mitzrayim to purchase food?

Pesachim 119a: As a result, Yosef collected all the silver and gold in the world 1 and brought it to Egypt.

Ha'amek Davar: The entire country came to the city of Mitzrayim, to buy from Yosef himself. This caused that also his brothers came to him. 2

According to Malbim (to 41:36), the food gathered in the cities was for Egypt, and that in the capital was to sell to other lands. Even if food remained in cities, Yosef's brothers would have come to him! (PF)

QUESTIONS ON RASHI

Rashi writes: "They came to Egypt, to buy, to Yosef - Turn the verse around [in order] to interpret it." If so, why not write the verse in order - '... they came to Egypt, to Yosef, to buy'?

Gur Aryeh: The travelers' aim was to descend to Egypt (where they had heard they could buy grain). They did not yet know of Yosef. Upon their arrival, they were directed to Yosef.
