What is the meaning of "[ha'Pesel] Nasach Charash"?
Rashi: A blacksmith melted it from iron or copper.
Radak #1: This is covering. They make an image of stone or wood, and afterwards cover it with gold or silver.
Radak #2: He melts the silver or gold.
Malbim: This denigrates the gold and silver idols that they esteem - any smith can make them, even if he is not a Chacham! Also, it is Domem - it is not even vegetative!
What is the meaning of "ba'Zahav Yerake'enu"?
Rashi: [Afterwards,] the smelter flattened it and covered it with gold plating. Radak - this is like "va'Yrak'u Es Pachai ha'Zahav" (Shemos 39:3).
Malbim: It is merely plated with gold, but underneath it is iron, lead or tin.
What are "Resukos"?
Rashi: They are chains. Radak - this is like "Ase ha'Ratuk" (Yechezkel 7:23), just it is a different grammatical form.
Why does it say "u'Resukos Kesef Tzoref"?
Radak: The smelter puts on it silver chains.
Radak citing Targum Yonasan: Chains of refined silver hold it.
