What do we learn from "Zos Moshevosam v'Hisyachsam"?

1.

'Rashi': Even though the lineage of some of them was given here, do not say that these the only ones. There is another Sefer of lineage, in which the [full] lineage of every Shevet is given.

2.

Radak: They are always called on their names. It is not difficult to mention Yichus (lineage) regarding cities. 'Yichus' is revealing about a family and informing which family and Shevet a man is from. So cities are attributed to man, and vice-versa. [The suffix] Yud with a Tzeirei 1 is for Yichus (it shows the place or family to which he pertains). It says "Zos Moshevosam", and not Eleh Moshevosam - verses often discuss the Rabim in the singular or vice-versa, e.g. "Ki Sikrenah Milchamah", "va'Yavo Moshe v'Aharon." Alternatively, Zos refers to ha'Aretz (singular).

3.

Malbim: The heads of the families were attributed to the cities. Each family chose a particular city to settle in, and they were associated with it, e.g. Ashchor Avi Seko'a, Meisha Avi Zif, Shoval Avi Kiryas Ye'arim.

What we call Chirik, Radak calls Tzeirei. (PF)
