What is "To'ah"?

Rashi: [Building of the wall should be] ruin and destruction. This is like "u'Ledaber El Hashem To'ah."

Ibn Ezra: It is a noun, with the grammatical form of Olah and Sho'ah. One who is afflicted is like one who is lost ? he does not know what to do. They sought to do so to Nechemyah or the Am.

Malbim: They feared to fight in the way of war 1 . They wanted to deceive Bnei Yerushalayim, to come against them suddenly, and they will not guard from them.
