Why does it say "mi'Boker la'Erev Yukatu"?

1.

Rashi: In one day they are minced and crushed. Ibn Ezra - this is like "ba'Boker Yatitz v'Chalaf." Devar Eliyahu - in the morning he is in his strength - afterwards he passes, like a shadow. This is one of three other shortcomings of man that our verse teaches.

2.

Malbim: They will be stricken with afflictions for their sins for a short time, like from morning until evening.

2)

What is the meaning of "mi'Beli Mesim"?

1.

Rashi: They do not put to heart to repent to their Maker.

2.

Ibn Ezra: He does not understand. This is like "v'Yasimu v'Yaskilu."

3.

Devar Eliyahu: [After he dies], no one puts his name on his lips (mentions him).

4.

Malbim: The short punishment is lest he be given a permanent punishment.

3)

Who will perish forever?

1.

Rashi: The verse is abbreviated. (It refers to Shochenei Vatei Chomer, which the previous verse discussed.)

2.

Devar Eliyahu: Resha'im. For Tzadikim, "v'Nasati Lahem b'Veisi... Shem Olam."

3.

Malbim (21): Punishment in this world is better than Kerisus of the Nefesh in the world to come. "La'Netzach" hints to loss of the eternal Nefesh.
