Ramban: The Torah mentions "Bik'as Yereicho" - because it was a deep valley which one could not possibly see from the top of the mountain and Hashem showed it to Moshe by way of a miracle.

Targum Yonasan: It is referring to the exile of the disciples of Eliyahu from the valley of Yericho. 1

Targum Yonasan: It is referring to all the Tzaros (troubles) of all the generations, the evil decree of Armalgus (Armilus - See Na'ar Yonasan) ha'Rasha, and the war with Gog. 1

Targum Yerushalmi: 'Up until Tzo'ar, the city of date-palm trees'.
