Verse 13 already discussed a Tzadik who soured. Why is this repeated?

Malbim: This teaches that logic teaches the opposite of people's way. When a Tzadik changes and sins, he dies both for his sin and his prior virtue. The more virtuous that he was, this increases his sin now 1 .

This could be due to Chilul Hashem, or because he had less temptation to sin. Refer to 33:19:1:1 and the note there (it supports the latter reason. ? PF)

What is the meaning of "u'Mes Bahem"?
