Whom is "Lu Chachmu ... " referring to?
Rashi #1 (according to R. Nechemyah), Rashbam and Seforno: It is referring to the nations of the world.
Rashi #2 (according to R. Yehudah), Sifri and Targum Yonasan: It is referring to Yisrael - who did not look in the Torah, where they would have seen what will happen to them in the end if they sin. 1
Sifri: If they would have looked at the words of the Torah, no nation would have had jurisdiction over them.
What is "Yavinu le'Acharisam" referring to?

Rashi #2 (according to R. Yehudah) Sifri and Targum Yonasan: Refer to 32:29:1:2.
Da'as Zekenim (in Pasuk 31), Hadar Zekenim (27) and Rosh (in Pasuk 27): The nations should have realized that if Yisrael, Hashem's children, suffered such punishments, how much more so would they!
