Why does the Torah refer to "Eiz" which is feminine, when "ve'Hikrivo" later in the Pasuk, is masculine?

1.

Ramban #1 (citing Targum Onkelos), Moshav Zekenim and Targum Yonasan: The Torah is referring to the species (of Eiz), 1 not to the goat itself.

2.

Ramban #2 and Moshav Zekenim: The Torah is simply not particular about gender when it comes to animals, seeing as in most cases, the male and female species do not have different names. 2 Consequently, even where they do, 3 the Torah will refer to 'Seh' and 'Shor' 4 even when it is speaking about a female animal. 5

1

Like the Torah did specifically above, in Vayikra 1:10 (Ramban).

2

Such as Gamal, Chamor, Shafan Arneves and Chazir among the animals, and Tor and Yonah among the birds (Ramban).

3

Such as Shor and Parah, Kesev and Kisbah, Tayish and Eiz (Ramban).

4

Instead of Kisbah and Parah (Ramban).

5

See for example 22:28. (See Ramban who cites other examples).
