What do we learn from "Hashem Tzadik b'Kirbah"?

1.

Rashi: He put His Shechinah among them. Therefore, He cannot see their evil deeds, for He is a Tzadik, and there is no Avlah in front of Him.

2.

Radak: He is amidst this city that was mentioned - Yerushalayim.

3.

Malbim: They are all sinners and evil and do injustice - Hashem is the only Tzadik in the city!

2)

What is the Chidush "Lo Ya'aseh Avlah"?

1.

Radak: He is a Tzadik regarding the evil that He brings upon them - "ha'Tzur Tamim Pa'alo v'Chol Derachav Mishpat Kel Emunah v'Ein Avel Tzadik v'Yashar Hu" (Devarim 32:4).

3)

What happens every morning?

1.

Radak citing Ibn Ezra: He shows to them His Mishpat against the Goyim. It was proper that they not do Avlah!

2.

Radak citing his father: From when Hashem created light, His Emunah lasts forever, for the light shines each morning.

3.

Malbim: Even though they distort Mishpat, Hashem gives straight judgment every morning.

4)

What is the meaning of "Mishpato Yiten la'Or"?

1.

Rashi: He gives it to light. He judges a case to its absolute Emes.

5)

What is the Chidush "Lo Nedar"?

1.

Radak: Even though people of the world anger Him [He makes the sun shine every morning].

6)

What is the meaning of "v'Lo Yode'a Aval Boshes"?

1.

Rashi: The crooked judges in it did not put this to their hearts, to be ashamed from the Tzadik who dwells amidst them.

2.

Radak: Yisrael, who do Aval (crooked actions), do not know to be ashamed of this. Even though they see that Hashem punishes the nations for their evil, Yisrael are not chastised and are not ashamed. They do not say, just like He is faithful to us, we should be faithful to Him!

3.

Malbim: They should be ashamed due to the Tzadik (Hashem) amidst them who hates injustice and sees their deeds. However, they do not know Hashem, therefore they are not ashamed in front of Him. If His fear was on their faces, they would be ashamed due to His honor, which fills the world.
