What is the meaning of "ha'Seitevi mi'No Amon"?
Rashi: How do you trust in your gates and strength? Are you greater than Noa (Alexandria 1 of Egypt? Amon is an expression of a pedagogue\mentor. Kings of Egypt were raised there.
Radak: How did you trust in your grandeur, and being a fortified city with rivers around it - "Sha'arei ha'Neharos Niftachu" (2:7)?
Malbim: He returns to say, I can console you - are you better than Noa Amon, which was destroyed like you? Also it had many people. Just like you dwell by the Chidekel river, it dwelled by rivers - water surrounded it on every side, including the sea.
Radak: Targum Yonasan is 'the great Alexandria.'
What is the significance of "ha'Yoshevah ba'Y'orim Mayim Saviv Lah"?
Radak: Noa dwelled between rivers. The rivers also enter the city under the ground, so they did not fear a siege 1 . Rivers and the sea surrounded it. Even so, Nebuchadnetzar captured it when he conquered Egypt!
Either they had great storehouses of food, or they could grow enough food in the city to feed the residents. We find that it was a three-day journey from one end of Ninveh to the other (Radak Yonah 3:4), i.e. 120 Mil; if the city was circular, its area was over 45,000 square Mil, more than a third of a square kilometer per resident. Why does it say "Asher Cheil Yam"?
Rashi: The sea was an army and wall [to protect it].
Malbim: Cheil is a small wall - Noa's [stone] wall was greater than the sea.
Why does it add "mi'Yam Chomasah"?
Radak: The matter is repeated to strengthen it.
