Why does the Torah use the term "be'Ze'as Apecha" to describe hard work?

1.

Berachos 57b: It is a hint that sweating is good for a sick person. 1

2.

Oznayim la'Torah (citing the Alter from Kelm): Even though it is necessary 'to sweat' a little for the sake of Parnasah, one should bear in mind that it is a curse, and sweat as little as possible - and spend more time learning Torah.

See Torah Temimah, note 28.

2)

What does "Lechem" include?

1.

Moshav Zekenim: This refers to all food. Since he ate what was forbidden to him, he was punished that all his food would be through sweat.

3)

Who received the curse, "through the sweat of your brow...?"

1.

Da'as Zekenim, Rosh: This was only for farmers, but not for officers. Chavah's curse, in contrast, applied to all women, for she sinned and caused Adam to sin.

2.

Mesilas Yesharim (21): No one is exempt from Hishtadlus. However, it should be secondary to Torah. It suffices to do a little work, and trust in Hashem.
