In what way did the Kedushah of the Mizbe'ach manifest itself?
Rashi: Inasmuch as anything that touched it became Kodesh - to the extent that, even if a Pasul Korban was taken up on the Mizbe'ach, it remained on the Mizbe'ach and was burned on the Ma'arachah. 1
Rashbam: Inasmuch as, before approaching the Mizbe'ach or touching it, a Kohen was obligated to sanctify and purify himself.
Targum Yonasan: By sanctifying any Kohen who touched it (inaugurating him to perform the Avodah). 2
Is this Din confined to the Mizbe'ach?
Zevachim, 87a: We learn from the Pasuk in Pikudei, 40:10 "Vekidashta es ha'Mizbe'ach" that it extends to the Kevesh (the ramp) and to all other K'lei Shareis as well. 1
See Torah Temimah, note 31.
The Torah instructs Moshe how to inaugurate Aharon and his sons during the Shiv'as Yemei ha'Milu'im. Why does it not mention the Aron, the Shulchan, and the Menorah?
It seems that during the Shiv'as Yemei Milu'im, Moshe only erected the Mishkan and the Mizbe'ach, 1 not the other Keilim, 2 which the Torah mentions for the first tine in Pikudei, on the eighth day of the Milu'im. 3
By the same token, he did not erect the Chatzer until the eighth day.
In any event, the Mitzvah of lighting the Menorah in the Kodesh and bringing the Ketores was confined to Ahron (and his sons), as the Torah writes at the beginning of the Parshsh and in 30:7, respectively.
See the opening Pesukim in chapter 40.
Which Mizbe'ach is the Pasuk discussing?
Rashi: The Mizbe'ach ha'Olah.
Moshav Zekenim: The Mizbe'ach ha'Ketores.
This is difficult to understand, seeing as all the current Pesukim, stsrting from Pasuk 36, are discussing the Korbanos that are brought on the Mizbe'ach ha'Olah.
QUESTIONS ON RASHI
Rashi writes that "Kol ha'Noge'a ba'Mizbe'ach Yikdash" teaches that if a Pasul Korban is taken up on the Mizbe'ach, it is offered. But the Gemara in Zevachim 9a learns it from the Pasuk in Tzav Vayikra, 6:2 "Hi ha'Olah"?
Daf Al ha'Daf (in Zevachim 83a): "Hi ha'Olah" teaches us only about the primary Korban, but not the blood and the Nesachim, whereas "Kol ha'Noge'a ba'Mizbe'ach" includes them as well.
