Having taught us this Parshah in Tetzaveh Sh?mos, 29:38-41, why does the Torah repeat it here?
Rashi: Refer to 28:1:1:1 and note.
Why does the Torah insert the (otherwiswe superfluous) word "es ha'Keves Echad"?
Megilah, 28a: To teach us that one should pick the best lamb in the flock - 'Meyuchad she'be'Edro' - for the Korban Tamid. 1
Zevachim, 11b: To teach us that one may not bring the Tamid shel bein ha?Arbayim in the morning. 2
Why does the Torah write "ha'Keves Echad" and not 'Keves ha'Echad' - like it did in Shemos, 29:38?
Ramban (on Pasuk 2): To teach the Kohanim to bring the Nesachim in the Name of Hashem Echad 1 and not for any other motive.
R. Bachye: As if the Torah had written 'es ha'Keves shel Echad'. Moreover, "Echad", whose Gematriyah is thirteen, also hints at the number of Kohanim who participated in the Korban Tamid.
What is the definition of "bein ha'Arbayim"?
Pesachim, 58a: When the shadows of the evening begin to stretch (from half-an-hour after midday, when the sun is shining above people's heads - Rashi in Berachos, 26b). 1
See Torah Temimah, note 14.
Why is it necessary to bring two Korbanos Tamid daily? Why will one not suffice?
Targum Yonasan and Bamidbar Rabah: The morning Tamid comes to atone for sins committed in the night and the afternoon Tamid, for sins committed during the day. 1
See Peirush Yonasan.
QUESTIONS ON RASHI
Rashi writes that the Pasuk in Shemos was only for the Milu'im. But it says (Shemos 29:42) "le'Doroseichem"?
Ramban: Refer to 28:1:1:1*.
Moshav Zekenim: Perhaps we hold like R. Eliezer (in Chagigah 6b), who says that the Torah commanded about the Tamid at Sinai, but we did not offer it until Dor ha'Midbar died out 1 , for they were excommunicated.
The command was repeated now, after Dor ha'Midbar died out, to teach us that now they should offer it. (PF)
