What are "Shulchanos ha'Ma'areches"?
'Rashi': They are to be Ma'arich (arrange) Lechem ha'Panim on them.
What are "Shulchanos ha'Kesef"?
'Rashi': They are in the Azarah, to flay Korbanos on them.
Radak (15): Shechitah is done on them, and they put Olos on them when dissecting them. Even though they are not mentioned in Binyan ha'Bayis, we learn from Yechezkel's vision.
Malbim #1: Shlomo did not make silver tables [only of gold, for silver was not considered at all in his days; David did not know that he will be so wealthy].
Malbim #2: The table on which Lechem ha'Panim was put outside [in the Ulam, near the entrance to the Heichal, before it was brought into the Heichal 1 - Menachos 99a].
