Ba'al ha'Turim: Since the Me'il atoned for Lashon ha'Ra, 1 it hints that one should place a rim around one's mouth, to avoid speaking Lashon ha'Ra.

What are the connotations of "Lo Yikare'a"?

Rashi: It teaches us that whoever tears the Me'il transgresses a La'av 1 (and that consequently, if the Me'il became Tamei, it was brought into the Azarah leww than three Etzba'os at a time and washed - as opposed to other Bigdei Kehunah, which were torn and brought ino the Azarah to be washed - Zevachim, 95a). 2
