What is the definition of 'Erech'?
Rashi: It is a fixed value 1 that the Torah gives to a person based on his age and gender.

Erchin, 18a: The question does not of course apply to a sixty-year old, who is reckoned in the lower age bracket - since the Torah specifically writes in Pasuk 7 "ve'Im me'Ben Shishim Shanah va'Ma'alah ... ", and we learn a ben Esrim and a ben Chameish from a ben Shishim via a Gezeirah Shavah that they too, are reckoned in the lower age- bracket. 1
