What do we learn from "la'Ohr Yakum"?

Rashi: If they stand during the day, they kill passersby.

Ibn Ezra: Some say that 'Ohr' means dark 1 , like "v'Laylah Ohr Ba'adeni." I disagree; it refers to light.

Malbim: During the day, he murders the poor in the field. The rich do not go there, for murderers are there 2 .

This is like 'Ohr l'Arba'ah Asar' (Pesachim 2a). (PF)

How is he like a thief at night?

Rashi: He tunnels into houses.

Malbim: At night he steals from the houses of the rich.
