Who are "Toke'ei Chaf"?

1.

R. Yonah: They are guarantors for strangers. The Sefer warns against this in many places. It is not only Arevim for loans. One should not be a guarantor for a colleague, to promise for him to fulfill any matter, or to acquire a purchase and promise to pay for him afterwards. Refer to 22:27:1:2.

2.

Malbim: They are Arev Kablanim (the lender may demand payment from him even before approaching the borrower).

What are "ba'Orevim Masha'os"?

1.

Rashi: They are loans, like "Mashas Me'umah" (Devarim 24:10).

2.

R. Yonah: They are guarantors for a distant time, e.g. two or three years. There is another reason to beware of them. Even if he intends to pay without contest if the borrower will not pay, there is concern lest he lose his wealth. Refer to 22:27:1:2.

3.

Malbim: They are Stam Arevim, not Kablanim.

Sefer: Perek: Pasuk:
