Radak: This is a command, like "Re'eh Bni" (Bereishis 27:27), "Solu Solu" (Yeshayah 62:10) and similar verses.

Malbim: Write him in the laws of the Medinah (Bavel).

What is the meaning of "Ariri"?

Radak: If he had children, they will die in his lifetime. If he did not have children, he will not have 1 .

2.

Malbim: Write that it is as if he is Ariri without children; his children have no claim to inherit kingship from their father.

Why does it say "Gever Lo Yitzlach"?

Rashi: This is included in what they should write.

2.

Radak: His entire life 1 he will be in captivity.

Malbim: He will not succeed to be king.

What is the meaning of "Ki Lo Yitzlach"?

Radak: His seed will not rule in Yehudah 1 .

2.

Malbim: It was written in Bavel's rules that his sons do not inherit kingship in Yechanyah's lifetime. However, after he died, Zerubavel ruled.
