Why does it say "va'Yakam Yehoram"?

Malbim: This was after his father Yehoshafat died, and he became king alone. He saw a rebellion (so he killed his brothers and the officers). Perhaps they wanted to protest that he goes in the ways of Beis Achav. He killed the officers with his brothers, for also they rebelled (protested).
