What is the meaning of "v'Hu li'Kvaros Yuval"?
Rashi: In the end, he will be brought to the grave.
Devar Eliyahu: Until he is brought to burial, he has success and great serenity.
Malbim: There is no one to testify there.
What do we learn from "v'Al Gadish Yishkod"?
Rashi: When he is buried in fields, near stacks.
Hagahah in Rashi from R. Ovadyah ha'Navi: They will judge him for not fulfilling Mitzvos that pertain to a field, i.e. Leket, Shichechah and Pe'ah, and other Mitzvos that apply to a sheaf and stack. Therefore, punishments came quickly upon him.
Ibn Ezra citing Rav Hai Gaon: Gadish is the dome over a grave, like the custom in Eretz Yishmael.
Ibn Ezra: It seems that [Gadish] is earth. There is nothing like this 1 .
Malbim: He is buried under a pile [of earth] - the judge's hand does not reach him [to punish him]. He is there constantly, and does not leave.
I.e. Gadish in Shemos 22:5, Shofetim 15:5 and above 5:26 refer to a stack. Ibn Ezra could not accept those who explain so also here. (PF)
