1)

To whom did she say "Alakata Na

1.

Rashi: She said so in her heart 1 .

1

How did the Na'ar know this? (PF)

2)

What is the significance of "Alakata Na

1.

Rashi: I will take sheaves of Leket (what falls during harvesting; it must be left for the poor).

2.

Vilna Gaon (5): She began to collect immediately after coming from the road, without resting from her weariness, like lazy people do. Rather, she is an Eshes Chayil; she immediately went to finance her house.

3.

Malbim: She will take only Leket, but not Shichechah and Pe'ah, unlike other Aniyim.

3)

Why did she add "v'Asafti va'Amarim [Acharei ha'Kotzerim]"?

1.

Rashi: I will gather [attached] sheaves of Shichechah (what the harvester overlooked).

2.

Malbim: Everything that she gathered in order to make a pile, she made a pile of it. Do not say that she took [attached] sheaves. She was in back of the harvesters, close to them - they saw that she did not take anything improper.

4)

Why does it say "Zeh Shivtah ha'Bayis Me'at"?

1.

Vilna Gaon: She was collecting the entire day - this shows that she is an Eshes Chayil!

2.

Malbim: There was a house in the field for workers to rest there. The entire day she did not rest, only a little now that Bo'az came. This is why she collected so much!
