How many years were between these generations?

1.

Rashi: In the three generations from Kalev until Betzalel, each father was Molid before eight years old 1 . Kalev was 40 when the Meraglim were sent (Yehoshua 14:7). He was eight when he fathered Azuvah Ishah, and nine when he fathered Yeri'os. After Azuvah died, he married Efras and fathered Chor the next year (10). Chor was eight when he fathered Uri, and Uri eight when he fathered Betzalel. Betzalel was (at least) 13 when he made the Mishkan the previous year, for it says "Ish Ish mi'Melachto" (Sanhedrin 69b).

2.

Radak (21): All these children, including Seguv (21), were born in Egypt, for Chetzron was among those who descended to Egypt. (Surely he did not father them after Yetzi'as Mitzrayim - he was over 210 then!)

According to his calculation, perhaps each was exactly eight! The Gemara said only that there were three generations in 26 years; it did not put Kalev's daughters in the calculation. Why does 'Rashi' allot a full year between births? (PF)
