Who was "Elifaz ha'Teimani"?

1.

Tanchuma Vayera 30, Yalkut Shimoni Iyov 917, Targum 'Yonason' (Bereishis 36:12), Devar Eliyahu 1:1: He was Elifaz ben Esav. Rashi (4:1) - he merited Shechinah because he grew up in the lap of Yitzchak. (Hagahah - he was from Eretz Teiman, the land of Esav.)

2.

Ibn Ezra: He was from the family of Teiman ben Elifaz ben Esav 1 .

1

Ibn Ezra: This is difficult. Moshe wrote Sefer Iyov (Bava Basra 14b), and [Bnei Esav] were attributed to Teiman only generations later! I say that the Sefer was translated, therefore there are difficulties, like with every translated Sefer. 1

Presumably, the text should say so. This is like the opinions that Iyov was a Goy (refer to 1:1:5:1-4). (PF)
