What are the connotations of the word "Heilichi," which Bisyah said to Yocheved?
Rashi: "Heilichi" 1 is a contraction of 'Hey-Shelichi' - 'Here is yours!' Little did Bisyah realize the implication of what she was saying.
Instead of 'Hey Lach.' See Sifsei Chachamim.
Why did Bisyah say "v'Heinikihu Li"?
R. Bachye: ?Heinikihu Li?, ?ve?Lo le?Acher?. Because if someone hires a wet-nurse to feed her baby, she (the employee) is not permitted to feed another baby as well. 1
Oznayim la'Torah: So that, should an Egyptian officer come to take the baby away and cast him in the river, Yocheved should tell him that the baby belonged to Bisyah and that she was merely a wet-nurse.
Because: Because Bisyah was paying her for her services.
R. Bachye: As the Gemara rules in Kesuvos, 60b.
What is the significance of the fact that Bisyah paid Yocheved to nurse Moshe?
Hadar Zekenim (citing Sotah 12b): This teaches that not only do Tzadikim get back what they lost - but they also benefit from the loss.
