Targum Yonasan: He picked up [the spear].

Malbim (19:9): He cast it to and fro, so it would look like he struck David b'Shogeg.

Why did he say "v'David uva'Kir"?

Rashi: I will strike one blow; the spear will [pierce] David and the wall.
2.
Radak: The spear will go through [David] and be inserted in the wall.
3.
Radak citing Targum Yonasan: I will strike David and make a hole in the wall.
4.
Malbim: I will make it look like I did not intend for David, only for the wall.
