Why does it say "v'Gadel" here, and regarding Yitzchak (Bereishis 26:13) and Shmuel (Shmuel I, 2:26)? Regarding Moshe (Shemos 11:3), David (Shmuel II, 5:10) and Mordechai (Esther 9:4, 10:3), it says "Gadol"!
'Rashi': It is improper to say v'Gadol 1 . Regarding Shmuel, it says "va'Yigdal? Im Hashem" (Shmuel I, 2:21). Heaven forbid to say Gadol Im Hashem! Also here, it is improper to say v'Gadol Ad l'Ma'alah. The same applies to Yitzchak.
Perhaps he means in all three places where it says v'Gadel. He did not explain why it is improper regarding Yitzchak. It is not because it says "Haloch v'Gadel", for regarding Mordechai it says "Holech v'Gadol"! (PF)
