Why does it say "b'Raglav Ad l'Ma'alah Chalyo"?

1.

'Rashi': Swelling in his feet extended all the way to his skull.

2.

Gra: Because "va'Yratzetz Es ha'Am", i.e. [he broke] their feet, he was punished Midah k'Neged Midah.

3.

Malbim: The illness went from his feet to higher parts of the body.

After saying "he did not seek Hashem", why does it add "rather, doctors"?

1.

Ramban (Vayikra 26:11): This implies that people did not normally use doctors. When Yisrael are Shelemim, nature does not apply to them. They do not need doctors ? "Ani Hashem Rof'echa", "va'Hasirosi Machalah mi'Kirbecha" (Shemos 15:26, 23:25). One who seeks Hashem via a Navi would not seek doctors; they are only to advise which foods and drinks [are healthy]. Malbim - it says "v'Gam", for also this was a sin, to rely on natural means [to be cured]. This shows that his trust [in Hashem] was not total.
