Why does the verse say to give Kavod to Hashem? The previous verse said so!
Radak: Verse 7 discusses verbal praise. Our verse says to bring a Minchah (gift) to his Chatzeros, i.e. of the Mikdash, for the honor of His name.
Malbim: This compares Hashem to a king who sits in an inner chamber. His nation does not recognize him. The honor that they give, they give to His name. This is like servants who carry a gift to the king's Chatzeros, but they do not reach the palace to see his face, for he is hidden from his nation. You who recognize Hashem as the Creator, and He deserves honor, the gift that you carry for His name, leave it in His Chatzeros. It is as if the entire world is His Chatzer; He left His officers to receive the gift; they stand in place of Him.
What is "Kevod Shmo"?
'Rashi': His name (Aleph-Dalet) means that He is Master of everything. Like His name, so is His praise.
Why should they bow?
Malbim (Tehilim 96:9): You who intend to bring a gift to His Chatzeros 1 (refer to Tehilim 94:8:1:2), know that from there you will reach the palace. Really, He does not dwell separated from the nation. He is prepared to appear in front of those who visit His Chatzeros with a gift. When you see Him, bow with fear. Via appearing in His beauty, He is elevated above natural laws and does wonders like His desire. This is called Kodesh - elevation over nature. When He appears in front of His creations via Hashgachah Pratis, this is Hadras Melech; He does not need officers to help Him conduct.
Malbim (23): Here it says "Lefanav" (unlike Tehilim 96:8, which says Chatzeros), for here it says that Hashem dwells by the Aron, and people come in front of Him.
What is "b'Hadras Kodesh"?
'Rashi': This is like it says "Hod v'Hadar Lefanav" (verse 27).
Radak (Tehilim 96:9): It is in the Beis ha'Mikdash, which is more Mehudar (beautiful) and Kadosh than all houses.
Malbim (Tehilim 96:9): Refer to 16:29:3:1.
