What are "Hod v'Hadar Lefanav"?

1.

Radak (Tehilim 96:6): They are the stars. They recognize His grandeur, and give glory and honor in front of Him.

2.

Vilna Gaon: Hod is intrinsic beauty in a matter itself, e.g. the sun itself illuminates. Hadar is moonshine; it receives its light from the sun.

3.

Malbim (Tehilim 96:6): Hod is internal [beauty] in a matter itself. Hadar is external beauty seen to the eyes. These refer to His inner desire, and His revealed desire.

2.

Radak: There was wailing and crying among the Pelishtim as long as the Aron was in Sede Pelishtim.

3.

Malbim (23): Even though the Aron was in Sede Pelishtim, Hashem showed His strength and rejoiced over the fall of His enemies.
