In Shmuel II, 6:16 it says "Ba Ir David." Why does it say here "Ba Ad Ir David"?
Malbim: Ezra explained that she saw him from afar, before he reached Ir David, and despised him.
In Shmuel II, 6:16 it says "Mefazez u'Mecharker." Why does it say here "Merkaed u'Mesachek"?
Malbim: Here Ezra explained that "Mefazez u'Mecharker" means that he dances and is jovial.
Why did Michal despise David?
Radak (Shmuel II, 6:16, 21): She thought that it is not honorable for a king to act like a commoner, even in front of the Aron. Midrash Shmuel (25:6) - she said, my father's kingship was nicer than yours. They would not let their hands or feet be revealed! David answered, Hashem chose me over your father's house. They abandoned Hashem's honor and engaged in their own honor. I abandon my honor and engage in my Maker's honor.
Malbim (Shmuel II, 6:16): She was used to her father's house, in which their honor was more important than Hashem's honor 1 . David's house was different.
Surely he means that they held that the king should not forego his honor due to Hashem's honor. We find that a king may not pardon his honor! However, a Mitzvah is different (Sotah 41b). Then, it is good to pardon his honor. (PF)
Why does it omit here what she said to David "Mah Nichbad ha'Yom?" (Shmuel II, 6:20)?
'Rashi': This Sefer is for David's honor. It is not honorable what she said to him.
