How did she cry about this for seven days? They asked her to entice him only after three days!

1.

Rashi, from Bereishis Rabsi Vayetzei): She cried for the rest of the seven days, from the fourth day and onwards.

2.

Radak (15): After three days they despaired. On day seven they told her to entice him. She was crying about this all seven days, even before they commanded her. He did not tell her until day seven, when she irked him amidst their threat to burn her.

Why did he tell her on the seventh day?

1.

Malbim: There was only one day left. He thought that she can keep it a secret for one day. 1

2.

Malbim explains what she and the friends would think. Surely from the beginning Shimshon wanted them to 'solve' it this way, 'justifying' him to kill 30 Pelishtim. Why would Shimshon desire 30 outfits?! (PF)

3)

Why does it say "li'Vnei Amah"?

1.

Malbim: She felt closer to them than to her husband, who is not from her nation. 1

Even without this, surely she feared lest they kill her and his father's house! (PF)
