What is the meaning of "Lo Sechad Itam bi'Kvurah "?

1.

Rashi: You will not be like other kings, to rest in your grave.

2.

Radak: You will not be together with kings of Goyim in burial. They have great honor in their burial. You will be buried like a commoner, for you destroyed your land.

3.

Malbim: You do not deserve to be buried like them. You do not deserve to be buried at all! Your flesh should be given to dogs. Who will honor you after your death? "You destroyed your land and killed your nation"!

2)

How did he destroy his land?

1.

Rashi: It was via great servitude.

3)

How did he kill his nation?

1.

Rashi: This is explained in Daniel (2:24) "Lehovadah l'Chakimi Bavel" (Radak - because they could not tell him his dream and interpret it). Therefore, they hated you and conducted disgracefully with you, to take you out of your grave.

2.

Radak: Via the great tax that you imposed on them, you killed them via great fear. He would kill them for a minor sin. This is why they rejoiced at his death and did not honor him in his burial.

4)

Why does it say "Lo Yikra l'Olam Zera Mere'im"?

1.

Rashi: Also your sons will be stricken due to your sin. They will not last many days after you, for your haters will gather against them and kill them.

2.

Radak: His sons, who are Zera Mere'im, will not be called for a long time 'Ben Ploni', for soon his seed will be eradicated, with the death of his grandson Belshatzar 1 .

3.

Malbim: His seed will not be called on the throne.

1

Vashti was Belshatzar's daughter (Megilah 12b, Daniel 5:1; also refer to 14:22:3:1). She was still alive! Radak must refer to his male seed. (PF)
