Was Sha'ul one year old when he became king?!

1.

Rashi (citing Yuma 22b), Targum Yonasan: He was like a one-year old, who did not taste sin.

2.

Rashi: This refers to verse 2. In his first year of kingship - he was king for two years - he chose 3,000?

3.

Radak: The renewal of his kingship (the previous Parshah) was after he ruled for one year. The verse continues to say, he ruled another two years after this, or according to Seder Olam, he ruled two years in all.

4.

Radak citing Midrash Shmuel 17:1: When he became king, all his sins until now were pardoned, so he was like a baby without sin. We learn from here that one who becomes king, all his sins until now are pardoned. 1
