Why does it say here "Min ha'Sheloshah va'Shenayim Nichbad", and in Shmuel II, 23:19, it says "Min ha'Sheloshah Hachi Nichbad"?

1.

Radak, Malbim 1 (both in Shmuel II, 23:19): Here teaches that he was of the three 2 [who brought the water] and was more esteemed than the other two.

1

It seems that Malbim expounds "va'Shenayim" like va'Sheniyim. (PF)

2

Radak implies that here teaches that he was not one of the middle three; from Sefer Shmuel, it is not clear. (PF)

2)

Why does it say both "va'Shenayim Nichbad" and "va'Yhi Lahem l'Sar"?

1.

Radak (Shmuel II, 23:19): The matter is doubled, to strengthen it.

2.

Kli Yakar (Shmuel II, 23:19): The first three esteemed him greatly, and they would accept him to be a leader over them.

3)

How can it say both "va'Shenayim Nichbad" and "v'Ad ha'Sheloshah Lo Va"?

1.

Radak, Vilna Gaon (20): He was most esteemed of the three [who brought the water], but he was not one of the first three, i.e. Adino, Elazar and Shamah. He did not reach their Gevurah.

2.

Kli Yakar (Shmuel II, 23:19): He was more esteemed than the first three ? his brother was Sar Tzeva ? but regarding Gevurah, he did not reach their level.
