What is the meaning of "Hu Sehilasecha"?

Mesilas Yesharim Perek 17: It means that, when serving Hashem, one should avoid seeking praise from people. One's intention should be only to serve one's Master - because He is all our good and perfection, and there is nothing other than Him.

What are the ramifications of "ve'Hu Elokecha"?
Ramban: Hashem placed His Name upon Yisrael to be His people and to be for them a G-d - to offer them His personal protection, Because from the great and awesome deeds that He will perform on their behalf (Hashgachah K'lalis - communal Providence) 1 they will realize that they are His lot and His inheritance, and that His Eyes are always upon them to do good to them.
Ramban: As opposed to any other nation, for whom He is Merely the G-d of the angel that He designated to govern it. Refer to Vayikra 18:25:1:1.
