Did Beis Kel do like this?!

1.

Rashi: The calf [Radak - that you served] in Beis Kel caused all these punishments to you.

2.

Malbim: The rebellion against the kings was because they wanted to abolish the calf in Beis Kel.

What is "Ra'as Ra'aschem"?

1.

Rashi: The evil of your evil - your Mezid Aveiros.

2.

Radak: It is your greatest evil - serving the calf and saying "Hine 1 Elohecha Yisrael" (Melachim I, 12:28).

3.

Malbim: The evil that came due to your evil

What do we learn from "ba'Shachar Nidmo Nidmah [Melech Yisrael]"?

1.

Rashi: He slept [in the morning] as if it was night. I.e. he has no strength.

2.

Radak: This refers to Hoshe'a ben Elah. My father said, ba'Shachar refers to the start of his kingship. In his sixth year, Melech Ashur incarcerated him. In his seventh year, Melech Ashur besieged Shomron, and captured it after three years. Even before this, from the start of his kingship he served Melech Ashur and gave to him annual gifts.

3.

Radak citing Targum Yonasan: In the end, Melech Yisrael was ashamed and humbled.

4.

Radak: Nidmo is cut off, like "Nidmu Ami" (4:6). It is Makor (like a gerund) with a Nun, like "ha'Niglah Nigleisi" (Shmuel I, 2:27). Malbim - via your rebellion against Melech Yisrael, he was cut off in the morning of your success; from then, it darkened for you.
