What are the connotations of "Re'ei, Nasati lachem ... "?
Rashi: 'You can see with your own eyes! 1 I am not concocting it'.
Seforno: With reference to the inhabitants of the land, it means ?See how they have melted before you and will not stand up to you!?
Though it is not clear what they were supposed to see. Refer to 1:21:151:1, 3 & 4.
What are the implications of "Bo'u u'Reshu es ha'Aretz"?
Rashi, Seforno and Targum Yonasan: It implies that the Cana'anim (were all terrified - Seforno - and) would all flee (and that Yisrael would therefore conquer the land without raising a sword - Rashi [or that they would all die without fighting - Seforno]).
Ramban: It implies that conquering Eretz Yisrael is (not a promise, but) a Mitzvah. 1
Seforno: It implies that the Cana'anim were too afraid of Yisrael to defend themselves.
Refer to Bamidbar, 33:53:1:1, 2.
Having said "la'Avoseichem", why does the Torah need to add "le'Avraham, le'Yitzchak u'le'Ya'akov"?
Rashi: To teach us that each of the Avos was worthy [to receive Eretz Yisrael and bequeath it to his descendants]. 1
And not only on their combined merits.
Who is "Laseis lahem" referring to?
