Seforno: With reference to the inhabitants of the land, it means ?See how they have melted before you and will not stand up to you!?

What are the implications of "Bo'u u'Reshu es ha'Aretz"?

Rashi, Seforno and Targum Yonasan: It implies that the Cana'anim (were all terrified - Seforno - and) would all flee (and that Yisrael would therefore conquer the land without raising a sword - Rashi [or that they would all die without fighting - Seforno]).

Ramban: It implies that conquering Eretz Yisrael is (not a promise, but) a Mitzvah. 1

3.

Seforno: It implies that the Cana'anim were too afraid of Yisrael to defend themselves.

Having said "la'Avoseichem", why does the Torah need to add "le'Avraham, le'Yitzchak u'le'Ya'akov"?

R. Bachye (citing Devarim Rabah): "Laseis lahem? 1 refers to the Olei Mitzryim, ?u?le?Zar?am?, to the Olei Bavel and ?Achareihem? to the days off Mashi?ach. 2

Sanhedrin, 90b: "Laseis lahem? refers to the Avos and is a proof for Techi'as ha'Meisim.
