What is the significance of "Eser Yados"?

Who are "Ashafim"?

Rashi citing Tanchuma: They are Dochek Mazal (try to get what is destined for them before its time).

Ibn Ezra (2:2): They are doctors.

Malbim (2:2): They are astrologers.
