Why does it say "va'Yiten Hashem b'Yado"?

1.

Malbim: He conquered him immediately, via Hashgachah. Do not say that Yehoyakim went to him in Shalom ? he would not take with him Kelim of Beis Hashem! Kings do not do so! Nebuchadnetzar did not attribute his success to Hashem, rather, to his gods.

2)

What happened to the rest of the Kelim?

1.

Rashi: They remained, like it says (Yirmeyah 27:19) "El ha'Amudim v'Al ha'Yam v'Al ha'Mechonos v'Al Yeser ha'Kelim ha'Nosarim ba'Ir ha'Zos."

2.

Ibn Ezra: They were brought to Bavel in Galus Yehoyachin ? "v'Otzeros Beis Hashem v'Otzeros Beis ha'Melech."

3)

Why did he bring the Kelim to Beis Elohav?

1.

Rashi: It was to praise his idolatry. He brought all the captives there, and the Kelim he put in the storehouse.

2.

Malbim: It says "Beis Elohav" and "Beis Otzar Elohav", for he did not put them in his storehouse, rather, in his gods' storehouse. This is the introduction to the punishment that came to his grandson due to these Kelim.
