What do we learn from "Mishteh Beis Ish Yomo"?
Rashi: They made a feast in each son's house, on his day.
Malbim: Each had a particular day of the week of feasting to make the feast in his house. There was no jealousy between them or their sisters.
What is the tense of "v'Shalechu v'Kare'u"?
Rashi: This is like present tense ? they did so constantly.
Why does it mention his sons' feasts?
Malbim: Do not say that he was afflicted because he did not protest. The coming verse teaches that he supervised over them to sanctify and purify them!
Malbim (3): Sometimes one falters if his sons hate each other and plot evil in his house, like happened to Yakov. The verse teaches that this did not apply to Iyov's sons.
