What is "Matla'ah"?
Rashi: It is a lean animal. We are poor, and we cannot obtain choice [animals to fulfill our] vows. Also Yonason translates 'this that we bring a lean animal...'
Radak: When Yisrael bring a Seh to the Azarah, they say 'how much I weary from this Seh that I carried - i.e. it is fat.
Malbim citing Mahari: They blew air between the meat and skin, to make it look fat, and say 'how much I weary from this Korban that I carried on my shoulder, for it is heavy. Really, they inflated it, and it is full of air!
What is the meaning of "v'Hipachtem Oso"?
Rashi: This is one of 18 words of Tikun Soferim. It should say Osi, but the verse writes Oso. V'Hipachtem is like v'Hid'avtem (saddened 1 ), like "Mapach Nafesh" (Iyov 11:20). "Osi" includes My Shulchan.
Radak: They throw it to the ground disgracefully. So Yonason translates v'Shanektun. This is like the Targum of "va'Yna'er" (Shemos 14:27), i.e. v'Shanik.
Radak citing his father: This is like Nofe'ach (blowing) a fire of Pecham (coals). They claim to be weary from carrying the Korban on their shoulder, for it is fat. It is the opposite - it is so lean that if you blow on it, it will fall to the ground!
Radak: You saddened Ba'al ha'Seh (surely the text should say so - PF), from whom you stole it - "va'Haveisem Gazul."
What do we learn from "va'Haveisem Gazul v'Es ha'Pise'ach v'Es ha'Choleh"?
Bava Kama 67a: This equates a stolen animal to a lame one. Just like a lame animal cannot become acceptable, also a stolen animal, even after the owner despairs! We infer that Ein Yi'ush Koneh.
Malbim: Gazul is Pasul due to Mitzvah ha'Ba b'Aveirah. Pise'ach and Choleh are Pasul for a Korban.
Why does it mention a Minchah?
Malbim: Minchas Nesachim accompanies a Korban. Since the Korban is not accepted, how will I accept the Minchah?!
