Why does it say "v'Chatu Giborecha Teiman"?

Rashi: They will fear to flee to Eretz Yishmael.

Rashi citing Targum Yonasan: Your Giborim, who dwell in the south, will be broken.

Radak: Hashem will put fear in them, in order that they will be cut off. Malbim - through fear falling in the hearts of its Giborim, every man will be cut off from Har Esav, for they will not have counsel or strength in war.

Why does it say "b'Seiman"?

Rashi (Yirmeyah 49:7): Edom is south of Eretz Yisrael, like it says "v'Hayah Lachem Pe'as Negev... Al Yedei Edom" (Bamidbar 34:3).

Radak: Teiman was a son of Elifaz ben Esav (Bereishis 36:11) 1 .

Who will be cut off?

Rashi: Every strong man.

Radak citing Targum Yonasan: [Every] man who is needed 1 .

What is the meaning of "mi'Katel"?

Rashi: From the massive killing that will come upon you. Radak - Targum [Yonason] of "Harog" (Shoftim 8:20) is Ketol. Also "Im Tiktol Eloka Rasha" (Tehilim 139:19) and "Hen Yikteleni Lo Ayachel" (Iyov 13:15) refer to killing.
