שִׁבְעָה שָׁבֻעֹת תִּסְפָּר לָךְ מֵהָחֵל חֶרְמֵשׁ בַּקָּמָה תָּחֵל לִסְפֹּר שִׁבְעָה שָׁבֻעוֹת: וְעָשִׂיתָ חַג שָׁבֻעוֹת לַ-ה' אֱ-לֹקיךָ מִסַּת נִדְבַת יָדְךָ אֲשֶׁר תִּתֵּן כַּאֲשֶׁר יְבָרֶכְךָ ה' אֱ-לֹקיךָ: וְשָׂמַחְתָּ לִפְנֵי ה' אֱ-לֹקיךָ אַתָּה וּבִנְךָ וּבִתֶּךָ וְעַבְדְּךָ וַאֲמָתֶךָ וְהַלֵּוִי אֲשֶׁר בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ וְהַגֵּר וְהַיָּתוֹם וְהָאַלְמָנָה אֲשֶׁר בְּקִרְבֶּךָ בַּמָּקוֹם אֲשֶׁר יִבְחַר ה' אֱ-לֹקיךָ לְשַׁכֵּן שְׁמוֹ שָׁם: וְזָכַרְתָּ כִּי עֶבֶד הָיִיתָ בְּמִצְרָיִם וְשָׁמַרְתָּ וְעָשִׂיתָ אֶת הַחֻקִּים הָאֵלֶּה:

Devarim 16:9-12

Seven weeks shall you count for yourself; from the time the sickle is first put to the standing grain, you shall begin to count seven weeks. And you shall keep the Feast of Weeks unto Hashem your G-d, after the measure of the freewill-offering of your hand that you will give, according to what Hashem your G-d blesses you. And you shall rejoice before Hashem your G-d, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your man-servant, and your maid-servant, and the Levite that is within your gates, and the stranger, and the orphan, and the widow, that are in your midst, in the place which Hashem your G-d shall choose to cause His name to dwell there. And you shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt; and you shall observe and do these statutes.
