THOSE WHO MOURN, MERIT TO CELEBRATE

1) -

The Sages teach (Ta'anis 30b) that "All who mourn for Yerushalayim will merit and see her joy." What does this mean? Countless righteous Jews throughout the generations have mourned for Yerushalayim, yet did not merit to see its rebuilding during their lifetimes?

NACHAMU

2) Seven Haftaros of Consolation -

Why do we shift to consolation and joy - immediately after Tish'ah b'Av?

"WHEN WILL YOU BE COMING?"

3) At the Gates of Rome -

Why was Mashiach waiting at the gates of Rome, of all places?

4) Among the poor and sick -

Why was Mashi'ach sitting among those both poor and sick?

5) Avoiding any delay -

Is there concern for the delay of one moment, the time it takes to tie a bandage, before redeeming Yisrael?!

6) "Today!" -

Can Mashiach come today? But the Navi tells us that Eliyahu will be sent beforehand, to herald his arrival!
