אַקְדָּמוּת מִלִּין, וְשָׁרָיוּת שׁוּתָא,

אַוְלָא שָׁקִילְנָא, הַרְמָן וּרְשׁוּתָא:

בְּבָבֵי תְּרֵי וּתְלָת, דְּּאֶפְתַּח בְּנַקְשׁוּתָא,

בְּבָרֵי דְבָרֵי וְטָרֵי, עֲדֵי לְקַשִּׁישׁוּתָא:

גְּבוּרָן עָלְמִין לֵיהּ, וְלָא סִפֵּק פְּרִישׁוּתָא,

גְּוִיל אִלּוּ רְקִיעֵי, קְנֵי כָּל חוּרְשָׁתָא:

דְּיוֹ אִלּוּ יַמֵּי, וְכָל מֵי כְּנִישׁוּתָא,

דַּיְּירֵי אַרְעָא סָָפְרֵי, וְרָשְׁמֵי רַשְׁוָתָא:

הֲדַר מָרֵי שְׁמַיָּא, וְשַׁלִּיט בְּיַבֶּשְׁתָּא,

הָקֵם עָלְמָא יְחִידָאֵי, וְכַבְּשֵׁיהּ בְּכַבְּשׁוּתָא:

וּבְלָא לֵאוּ שַׁכְלְלֵיהּ, וּבְלָא תְּשָׁשׁוּתָא,

וּבְאָתָא קַלִּילָא, דְּלֵית בַּהּ מְשָׁשׁוּתָא:

זַמִּין כָּל עֲבִידְתֵּיהּ, בְּהַךְ יוֹמֵי שִׁתָּא,

זְְהוֹר יְקָרֵיהּ עֲלִי, עֲלֵי כוּרְסֵיהּ דְּאֶשָּׁתָא:

חֲיָל אֶלֶף אַלְפִין וְרִבּוֹא לְשַׁמְּשׁוּתָא,

חַדְתִּין נְבוֹט לְצַפְרִין, סַגִּיאָה טְרָשׁוּתָא:

טְפֵי יְקִידִין שְׂרָפִין, כְּלוֹל גַּפֵּי שִׁתָּא,

טְעֵם עַד יִתְיְהֵב לְהוֹן, שְׁתִיקִין בְּאַדִּשְׁתָּא:

יְקַבְּלוּן דֵּין מִן דֵּין, שָׁוֵי, דְּלָא בְּשַׁשְׁתָּא,

יְקַר מְלֵי כָל אַרְעָא, לִתְלוֹתֵי קְדוּשְׁתָּא:

כְּקָל מִן קֳדָם שַׁקַּי, כְּקָל מֵי נְפִישׁוּתָא,

כְּרוּבִין קֳבֵל גַּלְגַּלִּין, מְרוֹמְמִין בְּאַוְשָׁתָא:

לְמֶחֱזֵי בְּאַנְפָּא עֵין, כְּוָת גִּירֵי קַשְׁתָּא,

לְכָל אֲתַר דְּמִשְׁתַּלְּחִין, זְרִיזִין בְּאַשְׁוָתָא:

מְבָרְכִין בְּרִיךְ יְקָרֵיהּ, בְּכָל לְשָׁן לְחִישׁוּתָא,

מֵאֲתַר בֵּית שְׁכִינְתֵּיהּ, דְּלָא צְרִיךְ בְּחִישׁוּתָא:

נְהִים כָּל חֵיל מְרוֹמָא, מְקַלְּסִין בַּחֲשַׁשְׁתָּא,

נְהִירָא מַלְכוּתֵהּ, לְדָר וְדָר לְאַפְרַשְׁתָּא:

סְדִירָא בְהוֹן קְדוּשְׁתָּא, וְכַד חַלְפָא שַׁעְתָּא,

סִיּוּמָא דִלְעָלַם, וְאוֹף לָא לִשְׁבוּעֲתָא:

עֲדַב יְקַר אַחֲסַנְתֵּיהּ, חֲבִיבִין דְּבִקְבַעְתָּא,

עֲבִידִין לֵיהּ חֲטִיבָא, בִּדְנַח וּשְׁקַעְתָּא:

פְּרִישָׁן לְמָנָתֵיהּ, לְמֶעְבַּד לֵיהּ רְעוּתָא,

פְּרִישׁוּתֵיהּ שְׁבָחֵיהּ, יְחַוּוֹן בְּשָׁעוּתָא:

צְבִי וְחָמִיד וְרָגִיג, דְּיִלְאוּן בְּלָעוּתָא,

צְלוֹתְהוֹן בְּכֵן מְקַבֵּל, וְהַנְיָא בָעוּתָא:

קְטִירָא לְחֵי עָלְמָא, בְּתָגָא בִּשְׁבוּעֲתָא,

קֳבֵל יְקַר טוֹטֶפְתָּא, יְתִיבָא בִקְבִיעוּתָא:

רְשִׁימָא הִיא גוּפָא, בְּחָכְמְתָא וּבְדַּעְתָּא,

רְבוּתְהוֹן דְּיִשְׂרָאֵל, קְרָאֵי בִשְׁמַעְתָּא:

In introduction to my words, and at the outset of my speech;

At the beginning I will request consent and permission.

In sections of two and three, which I open in trembling;

With consent of He who created and protects until old age.

The worlds' mighty deeds are His, and it would be insufficient to express them

- Even if the heavens were parchment, and all the forests quills.

Even were the seas ink, and all gathered waters;

The earth's inhabitants scribes, and even recorders of initials.

- The splendor of the Master of the heavens, and Ruler upon the earth;

Who alone established the world, and held it back with limits.

And without weariness He established it, without weakening;

And with but an insubstantial letter, which has no tangibility.

He prepared all of His actions in these six days;

Then His luminous glory ascended upon His throne of fire.

An army of a thousand thousands, a myriad to serve Him;

New ones sprout each morning, great is His trustworthiness!

More are the flaming Serafim, all with six wings;

Until permission is granted to them, they are quiet in perfect silence.

They receive permission one from the other, simultaneously with no delay;

"His glory fills the whole world," after thrice declaring "Holy."

Like a voice from before the Almighty, like the sound of great waters;

Keruvim opposite Galgalim, they exalt in great volume.

Appearing to the eye like arrows shot from a bow;

To every place that they are sent, they hasten with alacrity.

They bless, "Blessed is His glory" in every language of whispered prayer,

"From the place of the abode of His Presence" - which needs no searching out.

The entire army on High roars, they praise with trepidation;

"May His Sovereignty illuminate, expressed in all generations!"

They arrange the Kedushah, but when the hour passes;

- it is finished forever, not even after seven years.

But the lot of His precious inheritance is even more beloved, for with regularity

- They make Him unique, in the morning and in the evening.

Set aside as His portion, to perform His will,

His wonders and His praises, they relate at every hour.

He wants, desires, and yearns, that they toil in Torah-study;

Therefore their prayers He accepts, and their request is effective.

These are tied for the Eternal, as a crown, by oath,

Opposite the precious Tefilin, it sits in fixed place.

The above is inscribed, with wisdom and knowledge,

- With the greatness of Yisrael, who recite the Shema!

THE ANGELS' KEDUSHAH

1) יְקַבְּלוּן דֵּין מִן דֵּין, שָׁוֵי, דְּלָא בְּשַׁשְׁתָּא -

Why do the Mal'achim ask each other for permission, before reciting the Kedushah?

HASHEM'S TEFILIN
