The gemara on 11a says in the Mishna that a kohen gadol which was as a replacement of another kohen gadol and this replacement dies then the rotzeach goes out free from arei miklat.
So my question is that the gemara on 11b says that in order for a rotzeach to go free from arei miklat the kohen who paskened that this rotzeach should go to galus has to die. so now in our case my question is from whom did this rotzeach have a get his psak din from that he has to go to galus, if he got it from the original kohen gadol and then a replacement came in for him so then the mishna shouldn't say that he goes out of galus with the death of this replacement because since he didn't have a gmar din from him he won't go out free when he dies and if you will say that he had a gmar din from the replacement then isn't it pashut that if he had a gmar din from him then he will go out of galus from him when he dies, so therefore our mishna is not telling us any chiddush by saying that he goes out of galus when this replacement kohen gadol dies because that's pashut since he was the one who paskened that he should go to galus?

It is not the Kohen Gadol who ruled that the Rotze'ach has to go to Galus. Another judge on the Sanhedrin made that verdict. The Kohen Gadol is not necessarily a member of the Sanhedrin.

Sorry let me rephrase the question.
The gemara on 11b says that in order to go out of galus it has to be that the gmar din took place during when this kohen gadol was in charge. So my question is that over here in our mishna which kohen gadol was around when he had the gmar din, are we saying that he had a gmar din when the 1st kohen gadol was serving in the beis hamikdosh and then this first kohen became tamei and he had to step down and a temporary kohen took over, and when this original kohen became tahor he stepped back up and the chiddush of our mishna is that even though he had a gmar din during the time when this ORIGINAL kohen was in charge nevertheless he goes out of galus only when the temporary kohen dies.
Or does the mishna mean that before this rotzeach killed, the 1st kohen became tamei and had to step down and they appointment a new kohen and during this time when the temporary kohen was in charge beis din gave him a gmar din and the chiddush of the mishna is that now when this original kohen comes back he nevertheless goes out of galus only when the temporary kohen dies since he was the one who was in charge when this rotzeach had a gmar din?
Hope this makes more sense.

The Rambam (Hilchos Rotze'ach 7:9) writes, according to the conclusion of the Gemara just before the Mishnah on 11b, that there could be four different kinds of Kohen Gadol, and any one of them that died sets the Rotze'ach free. Any Kohen Gadol (either past or present) who was alive at the time of the Gmar Din, and later on dies, lets the Rotze'ach go home.
